Founded in 2022, now in its fourth year, run by a dedicated team of volunteers.
Sunday school is a hub for the community and a point of entry for people to discover and enjoy ballroom.
We host fundraisers, award prizes, and make sure people get real opportunities to take on roles.

Blending elements of burlesque with the grotesque in a camp, seductive, rage-fueled spectacular. Forcing audiences to use their imagination and face their own confusion, biases and fervor.
Written and performed by Rhysy Williams — a Berlin-based, 21-year-old actor, dancer and theater-maker from the UK. Since performing TQH for a whole month at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2024, where she received the Keep It Fringe Award, the show has become a second skin for her and is never performed the same way twice.
This show was birthed from Rhysy's previous classical theater experiences in the UK and the need to unapologetically tell stories of experiences never presented — in abstract, Berkoff-inspired, camp, theatrical spectacles.
Since coming to Berlin to study film, playing in an award-winning short film about a gay tarantula and becoming a vogue fem statement within the ballroom scene, this has created a unique platform for Rhysy and she intends to continue pushing for true and authentic storytelling across the mediums of theater, screen and more.

This project picks up and develops those questions in a specific context. We focus on how cultural practice produced by marginalized communities can be documented on its own terms and how it interacts with traditions that have long benefited from public structural appreciation and support.
This is a project in its early research phase. First outputs are in development. The focus is on methodology and specific case studies, with particular attention given to respecting first-person authority over the stories studied and told.

Ballroom needs trophies. Most are bought from generic suppliers with no connection to the culture, made under unknown labor conditions, in unsustainable materials, in aesthetics that do not reflect the people who receive them. Eyes on the Prize builds the alternative, and makes its own.
Across 2026, the team designs and produces custom trophies. Technique begins with a workshop led by a specialist, then dedicated production days. The skills stay with the team, and the project is designed to outlast the funding period: the capacity to keep producing remains once it ends.
With dozens of balls in Berlin, Germany and Europe every year, each needing its own trophies, the demand is constant. Eyes on the Prize is a pilot for a model that can supply the wider scene, redirecting community funding away from anonymous suppliers toward fairly paid artists who share the culture's values and aesthetics. The trophies center the identities of the people receiving them: lasting objects of recognition, made to reflect who they are for.
